Calling all cricket fans! This year marks the 9th edition of the ICC T20 World Cup for both the men’s and women’s leagues. Organized by the International Cricket Council (ICC), the Twenty20 (T20) World Cup takes place every two years and is considered to be the biggest cricket tournament in the world.

The 2024 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup is scheduled to take place from June 1st to June 29th with 20 teams competing. The events are being co-hosted by the West Indies and the United States. Dallas, Texas will be hosting the ICC T20 opener between the USA and Canada, and then the finals will be hosted in Barbados. Other host locations throughout the tournament include venues in Florida, New York, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Guyana, Antigua and Barbuda, and Trinidad and Tobago.

Participating countries:

  • Group A: India, Pakistan, Ireland, Canada, and the USA
  • Group B: England, Australia, Namibia, Scotland, and Oman
  • Group C: New Zealand, West Indies, Afghanistan, Uganda, and Papua New Guinea
  • Group D: South Africa, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, the Netherlands, and Nepal

The 2024 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup is scheduled to take place in September and October with 10 teams competing, but only 8 have been determined thus far. The schedule and groups have not been determined, but it's confirmed that the tournament will be hosted in Bangladesh.

Participating countries:

  • Australia
  • Bangladesh
  • England
  • India
  • New Zealand
  • Pakistan
  • South Africa
  • West Indies

If you’re planning summer or fall travel during these tournaments, or perhaps planning to attend some of the games, start your planning well in advance and book early. In previous years, airfare and accommodation costs have skyrocketed for host locations due to increased demand. Be mindful of your personal vacation destinations during this time and book your flights/accommodations as early as you can.
