One of the most anticipated football tournaments in the world is headed to Germany in 2024: the UEFA European Championship. Starting June 14, a total of 24 qualifying teams will begin competing for the opportunity to play in the final game on July 14 to become the reigning champions and winners of the Henri Delaunay trophy.

The qualifying countries and their seeds include:

Group A: Germany (hosts), Scotland, Hungary, Switzerland

Group B: Spain, Croatia, Italy (2020 champions), Albania

Group C: Slovenia, Denmark, Serbia, England

Group D: Netherlands, Austria, France, Poland

Group F: Turkey, Portugal, Czech Republic, Georgia

The UEFA Euro 2024 tournament games will be played across the entire country of Germany in a total of ten cities including Hamburg, Berlin, Munich, Frankfurt, Leipzig, Stuttgart, Cologne, Düsseldorf, Dortmund, and Gelsenkirchen.

The UEFA European Football Championship is one of the most popular football tournaments in the world, second only to the FIFA World Cup. According to The Athletic, the last UEFA Euro tournament in 2020 attracted 28.3 million ticket requests. Given its global popularity, Germany will see a large influx of visitors during the tournament, so it is important for those planning to attend the games to book their travel and accommodations as far in advance as possible.

According to the UEFA website, the next opportunity for football fans to purchase tickets for the tournament will be in March 2024 via an online resale platform with tickets ranging anywhere from 30-95 euros, but don’t let that stop you from booking accommodations ahead of time.

UEFA Euro 2024 is sure to bring a month full of excitement for football fans around the world to determine the next UEFA Euro Champions and favorites for the FIFA World Cup.
